The Arlt type family pays tribute to the writings of Roberto Arlt, Argentinian writer from early 20th century who wrote some original novels, all of which ‘Siete locos’ (‘Seven Madmen’) is the most celebrated piece.

The Arlt 7 Locos, a sub-family of seven fonts, resulted of a more relaxed exploration on how to thoroughly destroy a series of carefully designed letterforms. They can be misteriously attractive when used in small text printed over rough quality papers.

Arlt Lanzallamas is the ultimate addition, a crazy font based on a dynamic cycle that makes the font jump among the 7 Locos fonts each time you type in a character. The length of the cycle is determined by the text line. It is exciting to use it in any OpenType-sensitive application. Have fun.

Arlt text was prized by the Creative Review type design contest, London 2006, and later the complete Arlt family was one of the Typographica Favorite Typefaces of 2008.
