TARPON SPRINGS JNL OBLIQUE

Designed by Jeff Levine, Tarpon Springs JNL is an art deco and display sans font family. This typeface has two styles and was published by Jeff Levine Fonts.

Sometimes inspiration for font designs can come from the strangest sources.

An early-1960s Canadian magazine ad for a brand of birth control pills featured the least likely spokesperson – Annette Funicello (“starring in “Beach Blanket Bingo” and “How to Stuff A Wild Bikini”).  The text was hand lettered in an Art Deco-inspired sans serif type design.

Tarpon Spring JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.
