The impulse for creating a new typeface might come from a picture, a moment, or sometimes from a person. Lydia Sans was named after my dear grandmother, born in 1930. Graceful and direct — those were the leading insights for the first drafts of this type family. It blends the simplicity and elegance of 1930s modernist typography, capturing the essence of that era while presenting great legibility and a deep proclivity for nostalgia.
