Caliste Display

After many hours of happy work, my newest type family, Caliste, is OUT! You can choose your favorite version of her : a solid text version or a contrasted display version. Caliste has been inspired by beautiful and generous Caslon shapes, but with short descenders that allow you play with a tight line spacing.

Each of these versions exist in 6 weights and their italics. Callisto was a Greek nymph, follower of the hunting goddess Artemis. She ended up being transformed into a bear, and she is now up in our sky, shaped as the constellation of Ursa major (= the Big bear, la Grande ourse!).

The Caliste family includes many cool things.
First of all, it includes the complete glyphset for Vietnamese language.
Another useful thing is two sets of alternate swashy capitals in the italic. Very fun to play with! Works great for magazine titles of course, or to spice up a logo.
