Futura PT

Designed by Isabella Chaeva and Vladimir Yefimov, Futura PT is a sans serif font family. This typeface has twenty-five styles and was published by ParaType.

Futura is a timeless geometric sans-serif, recognized as one of the most influential typefaces of the 20th century. Its enduring relevance is evident in its widespread use across logos, headings, web design, and print media.
Originally designed by Paul Renner for Bauersche Gießerei (Bauer) in 1927, Futura is characterized by its simple geometric forms, reflecting the aesthetics of 1920s-30s constructivism and the Bauhaus movement.
Futura PT stands as the most comprehensive Cyrillic version available, offering a versatile system of 25 styles ranging from Thin to Extrabold, including 16 Regular and 9 Condensed variations. It features both linear and old-style figures, subscripts, and fractions, supporting over 100 languages, including Western and Central European Latin and Cyrillic scripts.
Vladimir Yefimov initially designed the Cyrillic version of Futura PT between 1991 and 1995, with a significant redesign in 2007 at Paratype to ensure a cohesive and unified type system. Isabella Chaeva later contributed new styles, further enhancing its versatility. In 2022, Isabella Chaeva returned to Futura PT, introducing three new styles that enrich the typeface’s range and functionality.

Futura PT main characteristics:
- 2 widths: Regular, Condensed
- 25 styles in total
- 620+ glyphs in every style
- 18 OpenType features, including Oldstyle figures
- Extended Latin and Cyrillic support
