In the 1924 book “Alphabets & Letters” by Harry W. Jacobs (for Milton Bradley), you will find a big, friendly, extra bold typeface with rounded serifs that’s reminiscent of Cooper Black, yet has its own distinct style.

This design has been recreated digitally as Extra Bold Nouveau JNL, and is available in both regular and oblique versions.
